Tight budgets could complicate Sessions’ vow to fight crime

Updated: Plymouth, Kingston, Nanticoke officials declare state of emergency

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; County government buildings have opted to close as Winter Storm Stella pounds with region with snow.</p><p>A manager within the county told a reporter that the Luzerne County Courthouse and all other county government buildings are closed today.</p><p>The Luzerne County Correctional Facility, Luzerne County EMA, and Luzerne County 911 remain open.</p><p>Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in light of the recent announcement of a Blizzard Warning for the City of Wilkes-Barre and surrounding areas.</p><p>Due to the blizzard warning from the National Weather Service, residents are advised to stay off the roads unless it is an absolute emergency.</p><p><ins>For more storm-related stories, please click <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/tag/stella" target="_blank">here</a>.</ins></p><p><em>Reporter Jennifer Learn-Andes contributed to this report.</em></p><style>
