<p>Rain could dampen the Wyoming Valley this morning, but sunny skies are expected as the weekend approaches.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated it was 59 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and overcast skies were reported.</p><p>Showers are likely before 9 a.m. this morning, but cloudy skies will gradually clear as the day progresses. Less than a tenth of an inch of rainfall is expected, and today&#8217;s high will be near 69.</p><p>Mostly clear skies are expected tonight, with a low around 41.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, with a high near 62. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Thursday night, with a low around 37.</p><p>Friday will bring sunny skies to round out the workweek, with a high near 63.
