<p>DORRANCE TWP. &#8212; Supervisors plan to announce Aug. 14 a long-awaited decision on the proposed residential development at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club.</p><p>A series of hearings to take testimony on the development started in February and finally wrapped up this week.</p><p>At the outset, attorney Mark McNelis, who represents a number of opponents to the project, contended the entire proceeding may be moot. McNelis presented documents outlining the firm which originated the project, TFP Limited, sold the entire tract to Blue Ridge Development LLC in March and in essence produced a situation where physical ownership had changed.</p><p>&#8220;This case should be over,&#8221; McNelis argued.</p><p>However, Jack Dean, counsel for TFP Limited and Blue Ridge Development, obtained from Robert Tamburro, principal partner for the two entities, an explanation. Tamburro and his sister were central in the genesis of the proposed development and have remained so throughout. Thus, principal ownership hasn&#8217;t really changed, Tamburro contends.</p><p>Because of these comments, township attorney Don Karpowich allowed the hearing to continue.</p><p>Tim Connolly, architectural engineer for the proposed Preserve at Blue Ridge, said because of slope rating issues, the development has been reduced in acreage and from 193 housing units to 176. After Connolly&#8217;s presentation, Karpowich declared &#8220;the record is closed&#8221; and the project is now in hands of Dorrance officials.</p><style>
