Kingston Twp. supervisors swear in three Special Fire Police officers

<p>The Pacific Coast League All-Stars got the better of Caleb Smith and the International League All-Stars Wednesday night.</p><p>The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders ace struggled in his lone inning on the mound, taking the loss, as the International League fell to the Pacific Coast League 6-4. Smith pitched the fourth inning and gave up four runs on five hits.</p><p>The big blow came when Nashville&#8217;s Renato Nunez, who was first-pitch swinging, sent a three-run home run over the left field wall with one out to give the Pacific Coast League a 5-1 lead. Smith was able to recover and sit down two of the next three batters, limiting the damage to four runs.</p><p>The International League was able to battle back, but never got it closer than 6-4. Columbus&#8217; Richie Shaffer had an impressive night, going 2 for 3 with a double, home run and two RBI.</p><p>Smith and manager Al Pedrique were the only first-place RailRiders in Tacoma. Former RailRiders outifelder Dustin Fowler was also elected to the Triple-A All-Star game, but suffered a season-ending knee injury at the end of June.</p><p>Smith, who was playing in his first all-star game, suffered the first loss of his Triple-A season on Wednesday.</p><style>
