<p>PITTSTON &#8212; Crews started final milling and paving work in the northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 81 near Pittston on Tuesday night.</p><p>The work will require single-lane closures through Saturday morning.</p><p class="x_MsoNormal">PennDOT says this is the final step in a $28 million contract to replace four, two-lane bridges with new three-lane bridges in northern Luzerne County.</p><p class="x_MsoNormal">Work began on these four bridges in the spring of 2015. Milling and paving will be done each night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., with all work scheduled to wrap up by 6 a.m. Saturday.</p><style>
