<p>Intense.</p><p>Terrifying.</p><p>Not intended for the faint of heart.</p><p>These are the words and phrases used by the team at Fear Hollow in Mountain Top to describe the experience their patrons can expect.</p><p>&#8220;We like to call ourselves a semi-family-friendly attraction,&#8221; owner-operator Karl Buzak said. &#8220;We&#8217;re not a safe alternative for anyone.&#8221;</p><p>Fear Hollow, Buzak said, has been revamped this year to feature Mayhem on the Mountain, an indoor, interactive, walkthrough haunted house.</p><p>&#8220;We renovated at least 75 percent of the attraction itself,&#8221; Buzak said. &#8220;We built, from the ground up, an asylum and a clown house to add to it.</p><p>Comparable to past years, Buzak said, the Fear Hollow team has come up with as many fresh ideas as time would allow, but this year, he noted, is the first time the attraction has been so overhauled.</p><p>&#8220;We&#8217;re trying to go for broke,&#8221; Buzak said. &#8220;We have several new rooms, new characters and different angles to bring the same classic-type scares.&#8221;</p><p>During previous autumns, Fear Hollow has featured multiple attractions, but this Halloween season, the venue is returning to doing one thing and doing it well.</p><p>&#8220;We didn&#8217;t want to get overdrawn and affect our customer experience,&#8221; Buzak said.</p><p>The attraction&#8217;s website promises patrons will be in close quarters with &#8220;demons and ghouls of all shapes and sizes,&#8221; but the brutal beasts are at least considerate and won&#8217;t touch participants as long as participants don&#8217;t touch them.</p><p>Is Mayhem on the Mountain suitable for children?</p><p>&#8220;That&#8217;s always a tough question, because all kids are different,&#8221; Buzak said. &#8220;We&#8217;re advertising for ages 12 and up.&#8221;</p><p>On average, Buzak said, two to three groups a night cannot finish the walkthrough.</p><p>&#8220;We&#8217;re trying to crawl inside your head, find what scares you, rip it out, and show it to you until you can&#8217;t take it anymore,&#8221; he said with a sinister laugh.</p><style>
