Home Instead honors Kingston resident as Caregiver of the Year

<p>On Veterans Day, Service 1st Federal Credit Union challenged its employees to donate 100 movies in just 10 days to support the America Red Cross&#8217; Holiday Mail for Heroes initiative. In just a few short days, the credit union collected 104 movies. &#8220;We are proud of the men and women serving our country and protecting our freedoms,&#8221; said Bill Lavage, President/CEO, Service 1st. &#8220;The holidays are a great time to gather with family and friends to watch movies. This gives us a chance to bring a touch of home to these brave individuals who will not be home with their families this season.&#8221; The American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes initiative asked for donations of new or gently used DVD and Blu-ray movies. In response, the American Red Cross delivered the movies to their office in Baghdad, where they were gifted to thousands of U.S. troops in Iraq.
