Service 1st supports Red Cross’ Holiday Mail for Heroes initiative

<p>Home Instead of Luzerne County has honored Joyce Crawford, of Kingston, as its Caregiver of the Year. Caregiver of the year is a national competition held by Home Instead Senior Care headquarters in Omaha, Neb., where each franchise office from around the U.S. nominates its best caregiver. Joyce Crawford works for the Luzerne County Home Instead Senior Care office and is nominated into the national contest. Joyce is competing against 400 other caregivers from around the U.S. Dignitaries Rep. Aaron Kaufer and Luzerne Mayor James Keller attended the ceremony as did Joyce&#8217;s family and friends and the Home Instead staff. In coming weeks, it will be announced whether Joyce becomes a regional winner, and is then eligible to be a national winner. Joyce was presented with a certificate and a plaque.
