Trial date set for man accused of filming sex with teen

<p>Two Wyoming Valley Conference wrestlers entered the Class 2A Northeast Regional at Williamsport High School on Friday as top seeds.</p><p>And both lived up to the high praise. </p><p>Hanover Area&#8217;s D.J. Erickson, a returning state qualifier, and Lake-Lehman&#8217;s Kaleb Konigus were the only two grapplers from the WVC to win quarterfinal bouts.</p><p>Erickson, a 145-pounder, stopped Muncy&#8217;s Coleman Good 1-0 to move within one win of advancing to the PIAA Championships for the second straight season.</p><p>Konigus, a 285-pounder, also pulled out a close win topping Central Columbia&#8217;s Kile Kauwell 2-1.</p><p>Erickson will meet Benton&#8217;s Colton Babcock in today&#8217;s semifinals, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. Babcock defeated Lake-Lehman freshman Jake Trumbower by major decision 10-2 to advance.</p><p>Konigus faces Justin Kriner, a senior from North Penn-Liberty in the semis. Kriner knocked off Damon Barhight from Wyoming Area via fall in the quarters. A win for Konigus will mean his first trip to states.</p><p>Other quarterfinal winners from District 2 on Friday were Valley View&#8217;s Brandon Judge (126), Blue Ridge&#8217;s Adam Roe (145), Western Wayne&#8217;s Braden McIntosh (152) and Cole Fuller (220), and Lackawanna Trail&#8217;s Owen Hivner (170).</p><p>In one of the biggest upsets of the tournament on Friday, Avoca resident Ivan Balavage, a returning state place-winner from Scranton Prep, dropped his 195-pound quarterfinal bout to Jersey Shore&#8217;s David Tomb, 9-7.</p><p>The 15 other wrestlers from the WVC all lost on Friday night at the Magic Dome will compete at 9:30 a.m. alongside the semis in the consolations. They will need to win two bouts today in the loser&#8217;s bracket to assure a trip to Hershey.</p><p>Meyers&#8217; sophomore Jason Carver has already secured a finish in the top six. The 106-pounder will win his first consolation bout today because Muncy&#8217;s Jacob Blair missed weight and could not participate. He would have been Carver&#8217;s opponent in the consolation round.</p><p>District 2 grapplers will square off in eight weights in the first consolation round. Included in those matches are D2 champs from the WVC in Berwick&#8217;s Nick Yule at 113 and Wyoming Area&#8217;s Corey Mruk (160) and Justin Joseph (182).</p><style>
