<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Two local businessmen were recently inducted into the Junior Achievement of Northeastern Pennsylvania&#8217;s Business Hall of Fame.</p><p>Borton-Lawson&#8217;s Chief Executive Officer and founder, Christopher L. Borton, P.E., and John C. Metz, Sr. of Metz Culinary Management, were honored at the annual dinner and awards ceremony. Funds raised through the ceremony help the JA of NEPA continue to provide programs to students teaching work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.</p><p>Borton established Borton Engineering Associates, Inc. in 1988 to provide general civil engineering services in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Under Borton&#8217;s leadership, Borton-Lawson has grown into a nationally recognized engineering/architecture firm.</p><p>Borton has also generously given back to his community by serving on committees and boards for several organizations including the United Way, Wyoming Rotary Club, Penn State Wilkes-Barre, the Holy Name/St. Mary&#8217;s Church, and Misericordia University.</p><p>He plans to retire from his role effective July 2018.</p><p>Metz began his career in the food service management industry in 1967 with the founding of Custom Management Corporation. The small regional provider grew into an industry leader and innovator and set the standards for the competition to follow. Metz&#8217;s success is well documented and recognized by his peers through a variety of prestigious awards including the IFMA Silver Plate Award, Nation&#8217;s Restaurant News&#8217; Golden Chain Award, and Restaurant Business&#8217; coveted Leadership Award.</p><p>In 1994, Metz launched Metz Culinary Management, formerly Metz &amp; Associates, specializing in providing dining management solutions for healthcare, educational, and corporate accounts. Metz Culinary Management was recently named a top 5 company to watch by Food Management magazine and 14 on their top 50 food service management companies.</p><style>
