<p>HAZLETON &#8212; A man upset his girlfriend broke off their relationship terrorized and threatened her with a knife, according to court records.</p><p>Javier A. Ysaac Martinez, 29, of Monges Street, Hazleton, was arraigned Thursday on several felony assault charges, including a sexual assault offense.</p><p>Police charged Martinez after a woman alleged he strangled her several times, threatened to kill her with a knife he held up against her, and molested her inside a house on North Vine Street on May 31.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint:</p><p>The woman confronted Martinez about cheating on her and he denied the allegations. She decided to end the relationship with Martinez.</p><p>When she opened a car door to leave, she claimed Martinez slammed the door on her right forearm.</p><p>As she was driving away, she talked to Martinez on a phone call and she agreed to return to the residence to work on their relationship.</p><p>While in the living room, she told Martinez she did not want to see him anymore.</p><p>Martinez then threatened her by saying, &#8220;If you&#8217;re not going to be with me, then you&#8217;re not going to be with anyone else and if I see you with anybody else I&#8217;ll kill you and him,&#8221; the complaint says.</p><p>She claimed Martinez retrieved a knife and allegedly swung it at her while demanding she sit on a couch, where he exposed himself and molested her.</p><p>She ran upstairs and went into a bathroom. When she exited, she alleged Martinez strangled her, shoved her against a wall and pulled her hair.</p><p>Martinez told the woman: &#8220;Nothing is going to separate us.&#8221;</p><p>Police said the woman suffered injuries to her face and neck.</p><p>Martinez was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Carmody in Luzerne County Central Court on two counts of strangulation, and one count each of aggravated indecent assault, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $7,500 bail.</p><style>
