Serial robber sentenced to between nine and 18 years in prison

<p>KINGSTON &#8212; A Kingston man jailed over the weekend when the body of his girlfriend was discovered had previously been arrested on domestic violence charges against her, court records say.</p><p>Police found Linda Flick, 56, dead inside a Toyota Rav4 parked behind their residence at 71 Price St. at about 7 a.m. Saturday.</p><p>Flick&#8217;s boyfriend, Dana Ganjeh, 39, was jailed on aggravated assault charges that likely will be upgraded to criminal homicide.</p><p>An autopsy Monday by forensic pathologist Dr. Gary Ross revealed Flick died from multiple traumatic injuries. Her death was ruled a homicide by Luzerne County Coroner William Lisman.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint:</p><p>Police responded to the residence on a report a body was on the property and a second call from Ganjeh&#8217;s brother, Danesh Ganjeh, saying his brother had suicidal tendencies.</p><p>When an officer knocked on the door, Ganjeh emerged and turned over a key to a Toyota saying there was a deceased person inside the vehicle.</p><p>An officer knocked on the car&#8217;s window and got no response. The officer unlocked the door and pulled the blanket down exposing Flick&#8217;s badly bruised face, the complaint says.</p><p>Ganjeh allegedly told police he was with Flick inside the vehicle at about 10:30 p.m. Friday when he claimed she told him she felt ill. Ganjeh later noticed Flick died, leaving her body in the vehicle.</p><p>Police said their interview with Ganjeh ended when he requested an attorney.</p><p>Danesh Ganjeh told police his brother called him crying and saying he did something &#8220;bad.&#8221; When Danesh Ganjeh asked his brother what he was talking about, Ganjeh replied, &#8220;you&#8217;ll find out&#8221; and &#8220;take care of mom,&#8221; the complaint says.</p><p>Danesh Ganjeh was aware his brother has a long history of violence, including domestic abuse toward Flick.</p><p>Court records say Kingston police arrested Ganjeh on Sept. 15 after he allegedly assaulted Flick when they returned home after spending time at a tavern.</p><p>At the time, Flick told police Ganjeh was involved in an altercation at Carey&#8217;s Pub and after they left, she claimed Ganjeh jumped on her while walking in front of their residence.</p><p>A woman sitting on a porch intervened and was punched several times by Ganjeh, court records say.</p><p>Police said Ganjeh kicked and damaged the door to a cruiser.</p><p>Police charged Ganjeh on Sept. 15 with two counts each of simple assault and harassment, and one count each of resisting arrest, escape, institutional vandalism and criminal mischief.</p><p>At his preliminary hearing, police withdrew all of the charges except for criminal mischief at which Ganjeh pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six months probation, court records say.</p><style>
