Notre Dame professor of philosophy to speak at King’s College

Temple B’nai B’rith honors Tillman

<p>Hanna Pavill, daughter of Vincent and Tami Pavill, of Shickshinny, was chosen to be Northwest Area&#8217;s Senior Student of the Month for September.</p><p>Pavill is currently ranked first in her senior class and is a member of National Honor Society. She has been class treasurer, Mini-THON participant, and Youth In Philanthropy (YIP) member for four years and is YIP President. She is a six-year member of Student Council and has been on the Semi and Prom Committees.</p><p>Pavill has played saxophone in the marching band and concert band since seventh grade, held many leadership positions, and is currently co-drum major. She participated in the Wyoming Seminary Jazz Band, is a Concert Choir member, and went to districts in band and choir, as well as Regional Band.</p><p>She recently won the Youth Salute Leader of the Year Award that entitles her to represent the Greater Wyoming Valley in addition to honoring her with a five-day, all expenses paid trip to St. Louis, Missouri. She is an avid reader, is a Camp Ophelia mentor, and a Junior Olympic and Little League volunteer.</p><p>Pavill took credits through Luzerne County Community College and in the fall plans to attend Messiah College to major in physics to become a research physicist.</p><style>
