The following are recent Luzerne County restaurant inspection reports from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. According to the agency: &#8220;Any inspection is a &#8216;snapshot&#8217; of the day and time of the inspection. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the over all, long-term cleanliness of an establishment. Also, at the time of the inspection, violations are recorded but are often corrected on site prior to the inspector leaving the establishment.&#8221;The information is taken from the inspection database at www.eatsafepa.com. Personal prepared foods observed being stored in same refrigerator as customer&#8217;s foods without any covering or identification. No sign or poster posted at the handwash sink to remind food employees to wash their hands. Milk was held at 63&#176;F in the shelving area, rather than 41&#176;F or below as required. New food facility in operation more than 90 days and has not employed a certified food employee as required. Vasoline in a previously used pharmacy medication bottle not labeled for content and observed stored in box of other food ingredients. Person in charge is not monitoring closely enough the food risk and good retail practices violations observed during inspection.
