Trump not ‘thrilled’ with border deal but leaning toward it

<p>PLYMOUTH &#8212; Police located a stolen firearm while arresting a disorderly intoxicated person early Tuesday morning, according to court records.</p><p>A loaded .380-caliber handgun with a laser was found after officers arrested Omar Morgan, 32, of Brooklyn, N.Y., on Blair Street at about 12:30 a.m., police said.</p><p>Police tracked an altered serial number on the firearm discovering it was reported stolen to police in Hanover Township.</p><p>Police said Morgan, who was wanted by authorities in New York, was allegedly in possession of crack cocaine, marijuana and three cell phones.</p><p>According to the criminal complaint:</p><p>Police responded to a disorderly man wearing a blue puffy jacket that may had assaulted a driver for Burgit City Taxi on Vine Street. When officers arrived, they learned the taxi drove away with a man wearing a blue jacket.</p><p>Officers learned the fare was being driven to Blair Street where they spotted the taxi.</p><p>Morgan told officers he did not have identification and claimed his birthday was in May, then hesitated saying his birthday was January. Morgan told officers his identification was inside a house on Blair Street, and refused officers&#8217; commands to stay in the taxi.</p><p>During a struggle, Morgan grabbed at officers including tugging at an officer&#8217;s revolver, the complaint says.</p><p>After Morgan was taken to the ground and handcuffed, officers found loaded handgun with a round in the chamber under his body.</p><p>Morgan was placed in the rear seat of a cruiser where he banged his head off a divider and kicked the door that was damaged. Police said Morgan managed to get his cuffed hands from behind his back to his front and was able to unsecure himself, the complaint says.</p><p>Police secured Morgan with a hobble restraint system and were unable to electronically scan his fingerprints due to his behavior.</p><p>Morgan was arraigned by District Judge James Haggerty in Luzerne County Central Court on four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and possession of a controlled substance, and one count each of resisting arrest, illegal possession of a firearm, firearms not to be carried without a license, false identification to law enforcement, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and possession of marijuana. He was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $100,000 bail. </p><style>

Police: Stolen firearm, drugs found during arrest of intoxicated fugitive
