<p><strong>Drug possession charge withdrawn</strong></p><p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Wilkes-Barre police withdrew charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and defiant trespass against Tamango Brown, 24, during a preliminary hearing in Luzerne County Central Court on Tuesday.</p><p>Police allege Brown was sitting outside Hazle Mart at Blackman and Hazle streets and refused to leave Feb. 10. When Brown was detained, a pat-down search uncovered a marijuana cigar and a bag of marijuana, according to court records.</p><p>Brown, whose address was listed as homeless, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia.</p><p><strong>Domestic assault charges dismissed</strong></p><p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A district judge dismissed charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment against Kevin Michael Dawson, 20, during a preliminary hearing in Luzerne County Central Court on Tuesday.</p><p>City police charged Dawson after his sister, Teshia Morningstar, reported he strangled her and struck her body during an argument inside their residence on Brown Street on Dec. 17, court records say.</p><style>
