Wyoming Valley West students participate in district music festivals

<p>During its Winter Belt Graduation Ceremony on Feb. 17, Barnes Martial Arts in Forty Fort presented Lucianna (Lucy) L. Dunn with the award as Student of the Month for January.</p><p>Barnes Martial Arts Students of the Month are chosen based on a variety of criteria, including class participation, quality of technique, attitude, attendance, as well as how the student exemplifies the tenets and philosophy of the Martial Arts in their daily lives.</p><p>Dunn, 7, lives in Wyoming with her mom, Jacqueline Billig, and stepfather, Steven Billig. Lucy&#8217;s dad is Anthony L. Dunn.</p><p>She is a first-grade student at Wyoming Area where her favorite teacher is Miss Bolus. Her favorite subject is Spelling.</p><p>Besides Martial Arts, in which she currently holds the rank of Gold Belt, Dunn enjoys cartwheels, gymnastics and reading. While training at the Studio, her favorite activity is sparring.</p><style>
