<p>PLYMOUTH &#8212; Police arrested a borough man on charges he sexually assaulted a girl for several years.</p><p>Tyler James Cox, 25, of East Willow Street, was charged after the girl, now an adult, came forward with allegations in December.</p><p>She told police Cox assaulted her multiple times beginning in 2012, when she was 12. The alleged abuse ended when she turned 18 in 2018.</p><p>According to a criminal complaint:</p><p>Police interviewed the woman in January when she claimed Cox first assaulted her inside a residence on Vine Street when she was 12. She claimed she was sitting on a couch when Cox picked her up and carried her to another room where he forced her to perform a lewd sex act.</p><p>She told police her two younger siblings were inside the house when Cox first assaulted her.</p><p>Cox stopped the lewd sex act when he heard a vehicle park outside.</p><p>The victim was too scared to tell anyone, fearing no one would believe her.</p><p>A few days after the first assault, she told Cox that she was going to tell his girlfriend at which Cox replied, &#8220;Tell her what? I didn&#8217;t do anything.&#8221;</p><p>She claimed Cox later sent her a picture of his crotch area and a message to &#8220;come upstairs&#8221; on a social media app. She blocked Cox on the app, but Cox would unblock himself if she left her cell phone out.</p><p>The woman estimated Cox inappropriately touched and grabbed her 50 times, usually when no one else was around or inside the house.</p><p>Around the time the woman turned 13, she told one of her friends about Cox allegedly assaulting her. When she planned to have a birthday sleepover party, her friend did not attend because she felt uncomfortable with Cox in the residence.</p><p>Police interviewed the friend, and she remembered the woman telling her about Cox as they walked to school when they were younger.</p><p>Cox was arraigned late Monday afternoon by District Judge Ferris Webby in Wright Township on four counts each of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault and a single count of corruption of minors. He remained jailed Tuesday at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $30,000 bail.</p><style>
