Pretty dresses for a cause: Saturday sale benefits St. Jude Children’s Hospital

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Wright Township woman will not appear on the May primary ballot for a position on the board of supervisors after an order from a Luzerne County judge Wednesday.</p><p>Candace &#8220;Candy&#8221; Smith, who had been seeking a Republican nomination for township supervisor, failed to file a statement of financial interests in a timely manner, according to the order issued by Judge Thomas F. Burke Jr.</p><p>Smith was one of two Republican candidates running to fill two empty seats on the board. The other Republican, Donald Zampetti, will appear on the May ballot, with Burke ruling that he did file his financial interests in a timely fashion, despite an objection to his running.</p><style>
