Math day celebrated at St. Jude Elementary

<p>With another winter heading into the books, spring time is a period of fresh starts and renewals. We all do our spring clean ups and as a resident of the city of Wilkes-Barre, I want to publicly give a shout out to Mayor Tony George and his crew for once more re-starting the Taking It To the Streets program.</p><p>Most neighbors here have pride in their properties but there are a few who make things unsightly. Thank heavens for the good men and women of City Hall putting those who neglect on the straight and narrow. That includes landlords too!</p><p>Then there is the issue of Murray Street and the demolitions of blighted properties. There seemed to be a stalemate until Mayor Tony George stepped in and got some action. Thank you sir for your leadership.</p><p>Wilkes-Barre is still a great place to live for those who take care of their homes. Maybe those who get the warning will follow the example. Or if those properties become blighted, they&#8217;ll vanish and be available for people who want a home. Mayor Tony George has lit a fire for those who needed a nudge with Taking It to the Streets.
