According to the agency: &#8220;Any inspection is a &#8216;snapshot&#8217; of the day and time of the inspection. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the over all, long-term cleanliness of an establishment. Also, at the time of the inspection, violations are recorded but are often corrected on site prior to the inspector leaving the establishment.&#8221;The information is taken from the inspection database at www.eatsafepa.com. Postal addresses used here are as listed on the state&#8217;s website and may not correspond to the municipalities in which facilities are physically located.Bulldog BBQ Sauce, 240 Bear Creek Blvd., Wilkes-Barre: Regular inspection, in compliance.Jasmine Thai Restaurant &amp; Lounge, 216 N. River St., Wilkes-Barre: Regular inspection, in compliance. Violations: Observed filters above the grill and fryer to have an accumulation of grease. Temperature measuring device for ensuring proper temperature of equipment is not available or readily accessible in bar cooler.Two Gals Pizza &amp; Subs, 171 E. Main St., Wilkes-Barre: Regular inspection, in compliance.El Conuco Mini-Mart, 21 S. Poplar St., Hazleton: Regular inspection, out of compliance. Violations: Commercially processed refrigerated, ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food(deli meats), located in the deli case and held more than 24 hours, is not being marked with the date it was opened. Hand wash sink observed with build up of grime. Manual cleaning and sanitizing of food equipment is not occurring with the proper concentration of sanitizer. Ware wash sink observed with build up of greasy residual and black mold-like build up. The Person in Charge does not have adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection. Observed slicer with build up of old food residuals on blade and food contact surfaces. New food facility in operation more than 90 days and has not employed a certified food employee as required. No food employee certificate posted in public view. Paper towel dispenser empty at the handwash sink in the food prep area.Five Star Chinese Restaurant, 335 Laurel Mall, Hazle Twp.: Follow-up inspection, in compliance. Violations: Refrigerated ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in the walk-in cooler, is not being date marked. Observed bulk food ingredients stored directly on the floor in kitchen area, rather than 6 inches off of the floor as required. Chlorine chemical sanitizer residual detected in the final sanitizer rinse cycle of the low temperature sanitizing dishwasher was 0 ppm and not 50-100 ppm as required.Manuel&#8217;s Empandas, 35 N. Wyoming St., Halzeton: Regular inspection, out of compliance. Violations: Shell eggs in walk in cooler observed stored on shelf above uncovered oranges. Customer self-service single-use tableware is not displayed in a manner so that only the handles are touched by workers. Commercially processed refrigerated, ready to eat, time/temperature control for safety food (deli meat), located in the upstairs prep area and held more than 24 hours, is not being marked with the date it was opened. Person in charge is not monitoring closely enough the risk factors observed. Partial gallon of milk observed past the expiration date of April 1, 2019. Old, moist food residuals observed on the slicer blade.
