Aaron Judge had already exited the game, perhaps appearing for the final time for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.The RailRiders managed to pull off a ninth-inning rally and win in extras anyway.Tyler Wade smacked a game-tying, two-run double in the bottom of the ninth only to see Norfolk go up again in the 10th. Breyvic Valera answered with an RBI double in the home half, coming all the way around to score on an error and give the RailRiders a 7-6 win over the Tides on Wednesday at PNC Field.The sequence capped off a five-run outburst after the seventh inning that gave first-place Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (41-28) its third straight victory.It also overshadowed a clutch eighth-inning hold by Norfolk reliever Matt Wotherspoon, as the Crestwood grad and former RailRiders pitcher got the Tides out of a jam, sending them into the ninth with a two-run lead.Down 5-2 in the eighth, the RailRiders&#8217; rally started with a Ryan McBroom solo home run against Norfolk starter Tom Eshelman, who had been cruising most of the night.After Trey Amburgey reached on an error, that brought on Wotherspoon to face the top of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre order. Mike Ford walked to bring the go-ahead run to the plate.It wasn&#8217;t Judge in the No. 2 hole, where he had opened the game, but Wotherspoon faced another Major League veteran in Logan Morrison, who was pinch-hitting.Wotherspoon got an infield pop-up for the second out and then got Valera to line out to keep it a 5-3 lead for the Tides.Tanner Scott took over on the mound for the ninth, however, and blew the save. Mike Tauchman led off with a double and went to third with one out when Thairo Estrada reached on an error.Wade then tied the game up, sending a double out to left field.Norfolk held off the RailRiders there and even went up 6-5 in the 10th when former RailRider Jace Peterson scored from third on a David Sosebee wild pitch.Scranton/Wilkes-Barre quickly answered in the home half. With one out and Gosuke Katoh starting the inning on second, Valera connected on a double to right. It should have only tied the game, but Tides right fielder Anderson Feliz appeared to think that the hit, which landed over his head on the warning track, had ended it.Instant replay showed Feliz walking casually to retrieve the ball while Valera hustled all the way around the bases to score the winning run.Judge had left in the top of the seventh inning, going 0-for-2 with a walk while batting second and playing in right field. And he could be heading back up to the New York Yankees as soon as Thursday, with the RailRiders hinting as much on social media, promoting Wednesday night&#8217;s game by writing, &#8220;This could be your last chance to see (Judge) at PNC Field!&#8221; on Twitter. If Judge does leave, he will have finished his five-game stint with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre by going 2-for-16 (.125) with two RBI, three walks and seven strikeouts while rehabbing an oblique strain. The highlight came in Tuesday&#8217;s win over the Tides when he hit an impressive opposite-field home run.McBroom homered twice on the night, giving him 15 on the year. Kyle Higashioka also went deep.Sosebee picked up the win in relief. Brody Koerner started and went six innings, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks with four strikeouts.The RailRiders will go for a series sweep on Thursday with first pitch against Norfolk set for 7:05 p.m.Frazier reportsJudge may be leaving the lineup, but another Yankees outfielder could be taking his place.Clint Frazier reported to the RailRiders Wednesday after being demoted by New York with the return of Giancarlo Stanton from injury. He was available off the bench but did not play.Farquhar releasedDanny Farquhar&#8217;s comeback road will have to continue with another organization.The 32-year-old pitcher was released by the Yankees on Wednesday after making two relief appearances with the RailRiders in the past week. It was his first regular-season action since he suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm during a game last summer while playing for the Chicago White Sox.Farquhar had collapsed in the dugout in between innings and underwent emergency surgery, as the incident caused a life-threatening brain hemorrhage.After recovering over the following months, Farquhar signed a minor-league contract with the Yankees in the offseason and remained in extended spring training until last week, when he joined the RailRiders.He made his official return to the mound last Wednesday, allowing three earned runs on one hit and one walk with a strikeout in 1.2 innings against Norfolk. He was called upon again on Friday against Durham and gave up four earned runs on five hits and a walk in 1.1 innings while striking out three. He surrendered three home runs in the two appearances.Fellow right-hander Sosebee was promoted from Double-A Trenton to take Farquhar&#8217;s spot after coming off of the Thunder&#8217;s seven-day injured list.<style>
