RailRiders rally twice in late innings to beat Norfolk in extras

<p>Nanticoke earned an 11-2 victory over Pittston on Wednesday in Jenkins Township in the District 16 Little League major softball bracket.</p><p>Kailea Sekelsky was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in the win. Trinity Graboske doubled and scored two runs while Peyton Graboske scored three. Lilli Nice pitched six innings for the win, striking out five.</p><p>Pittston got two hits from Julia Mehal, who also pitched six innings and finished with seven strikeouts.</p><p>With the win, Nanticoke advanced to the championship round of the double-elimination tournament, where the team will get a rematch against Mountain Top at 6 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Top defeated Nanticoke in the opener of the three-team bracket and remained unbeaten with a win over Pittston.</p><p>Mountain Top can claim the district title with a win Friday. If Nanticoke prevails, the teams will face off one more time on Sunday in a decisive rubber match. Pittston was eliminated with Wednesday&#8217;s loss.</p><p><strong>JUNIOR LEGION</strong></p><p><strong>Hazleton 10, Berwick 0</strong></p><p>Matt Lonczynski pitched five scorless innings of two-hit ball as the Stripes &amp; Strikes Post 76 junior squad won in six innings. The defense didn&#8217;t commit an error behind him.</p><p>Lonczynski added a triple and a double at the plate while Anthony Cera also doubled.</p><style>
