Wyoming County man indicted on drug, weapons charges

<p>HAZLETON &#8212; City police arrested two women on drug trafficking offenses and captured a man wanted in New Jersey while serving a search warrant at a residence Monday morning.</p><p>Narcotic agents with the Luzerne County Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 804 Peace St. in Hazleton arresting Janayah Twana Lassiter, 29, also known as &#8220;Naya,&#8221; Alexis Casiano, 30, and John Bass, 27.</p><p>Authorities said the search warrant was served after narcotic agents allegedly purchased 350 bags of fentanyl from the residence.</p><p>More than 1,000 bags of fentanyl packaged for sale, packaging materials, a digital scale, several cell phones and a cutting agent were allegedly found in the house, authorities said.</p><p>Lassiter, of Hazleton, was charged with two counts each of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of communication facility, and one count each of criminal conspiracy and endangering the welfare of children. She was jailed at the county correctional facility for lack of $50,000 bail.</p><p>Casiano, of Hazleton, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and a single count of endangering the welfare of children. She was jailed for lack of $50,000 bail.</p><p>Authorities said Bass was wanted in New Jersey on charges of aggravated assault, robbery and drug offenses. He was jailed on a fugitive from justice warrant for lack of $10,000 bail.</p><p>A 2016 BMW was seized in the bust.</p><style>
