Trailer debuts for film based on Bufalino crime family

<p>It&#8217;s been eight years since Ray Black joined the San Francisco Giants organization. The hard-throwing right-hander from Coughlin was drafted out of college at Pitt back in 2011.</p><p>He went through surgeries and long rehabs just to make his pro debut in 2014 and continued persevering until making his first appearance in the majors last July.</p><p>Now, for the first time in his pro career, he&#8217;s on the move.</p><p>The trade deadline has led to a big change for Black, as the Giants sent him and fellow pitcher Drew Pomeranz to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for prized infield prospect Mauricio Dubon.</p><p>&#8220;We are pleased to add a veteran presence in Drew Pomeranz and a high-velocity arm in Ray Black to the organization,&#8221; Brewers general manager David Stearns said through the team.</p><p>At 29, Black has spent most of this season in Triple-A, pitching for the Sacramento River Cats, appearing in 23 games with a 5.16 ERA in 22.2 innings with 36 strikeouts. He appeared in two games for the Giants in July, pitching an inning each time and getting five of his six outs by strikeout.</p><p>Black will remain in the Pacific Coast League for the time being, as the Brewers optioned him to Triple-A San Antonio after the trade. But a promotion could be in the future when rosters expand.</p><p>&#8220;I would expect (Black) will see major-league time with us this year,&#8221; Stearns told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.</p><p>His MLB debut came on July 8, 2018, and he ended up spending the rest of the season with San Francisco. His strikeout numbers stood out there as well, recording 33 in 23.1 innings. He picked up a pair of wins in relief last August.</p><p>Through six years as a pro, Black has recorded an impressive 16.3 strikeouts per nine innings &#8212; 13.5 while in the majors. That and a fastball that tops out over 100 mph made him intriguing to the Brewers. Enough to ask for him in a deal that will send Milwaukee&#8217;s No. 3 overall prospect, per MLB Pipeline, to the Giants in the deal.</p><p>Black, who was on San Francisco&#8217;s 40-man roster, had been called up to the Giants shortly before the deadline as the team was involved in trade talks with several of its relievers.</p><p><strong>Scranton&#8217;s McCarthy dealt</strong></p><p>Shortly after the Giants traded away one former District 2 standout, they added another in former Scranton High School star Joe McCarthy.</p><p>San Francisco landed the former University of Virginia outfielder in a swap with the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for pitcher Jacob Lopez.</p><p>McCarthy, 25, has spent the season with the Triple-A Durham Bulls, getting to return near home to play against the RailRiders at PNC Field earlier this summer. He&#8217;ll be headed out fo the International League and over to the PCL now with the Giants organization.</p><style>
