Aide at WB nursing home charged with attack on patient

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Three individuals have been charged in a crack house shooting in October, city police records say.</p><p>Kaitlyn Cleary, 25, of Hanover Township, as well as Ibrahim Ibn Sharif, 24 of Wilkes-Barre and Ras Dalmar Johnson, 23, of Waymart are charged with breaking into a Franklin Street home and assaulting John Hawk in retaliation for allegedly ransacking her apartment.</p><p>According to a criminal complaints:</p><p>Hawk was at the house on Franklin Street and was watching TV and smoking marijuana when the assailants showed up. They told the owner to get out of the way when she answered the door, prompting Hawk to come downstairs.</p><p>Sharif then pulled out a revolver and ordered Hawk to strip naked, handing the gun off to Cleary who pistol-whipped Hawk multiple times.</p><p>Hawk attempted to disarm Sharif, at which point shots were fired, striking Hawk in the leg and buttocks and also hitting Sharif in the stomach.</p><p>The three assailants then fled the scene, with Johnson accidentally discharging the handgun on the front porch of the residence.</p><p>Cleary was interviewed by police at First Hospital in Kingston after she was admitted following a suicide attempt in November.</p><p>She claimed that she had sex with Hawk in exchange for drugs, and he became menacing and verbally threatening.</p><p>Cleary, who was identified by Hawk as a prostitute, asked one of her customers to beat up Hawk, at which point Hawk left the home.</p><p>He allegedly returned the next day, according to Cleary, and smashed up her Oxford Street apartment with a baseball bat.</p><p>According to the charges, Cleary admitted to pistol-whipping Hawk and to witnessing the struggle during which the shots were fired and Hawk and Sharif were struck.</p><p>Cleary was arraigned on Friday and is being held at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility in lieu of $100,000 bail. Sharif was arraigned on Sunday and denied bail, and Johnson&#8217;s arraignment is scheduled for today.</p><style>
