Police: Man admits he smashed windows at dental practice because ‘They kill people’

Man arrested after allegedly tossing wet toilet paper, bottles at passing motorists and bar patrons

PLYMOUTH &mdash; State police arrested Cody Jacob Cordes, 23, on drunken driving charges after he crashed a utility terrain vehicle into the front of a cruiser late Saturday night, according to court records.
				Troopers spotted several UTVs traveling at a high rate of speed on Flat Road at about 10:30 p.m.
				One of the alleged UTV drivers, Cordes, attempted to flee the area and collided into the front of a state police cruiser that was damaged.
				After the crash, state police allege Cordes attempted to flee the scene but was arrested.
				Troopers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Cordes who also displayed bloodshot and glossy eyes, court records say.
				Cordes alleged he consumed three beers.
				State police in court records say there were multiple empty beer cans in the storage area of Cordes&rsquo; UTV.
				Other UTV drivers fled the area at a high rate of speed, state police said.
				Cordes, of Hillside Avenue, Edwardsville, was arraigned by District Judge Joseph Spagnuolo in Plains Township on two counts of aggravated assault and one count each of flight to avoid apprehension, recklessly endangering another person, fleeing or attempting to elude police, driving under the influence and three traffic citations. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail.
