Scam targets parishioners of Catholic churches

Donors: $7.7 billion to tackle Syria humanitarian crisis

WILKES-BARRE &mdash; A 40-year-old man being served with a protection-from abuse order provoked city police officers to kill him, according to court records.
				Brian Allen, 40, of Gilligan Street, is facing charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after he allegedly struggled with officers serving him with the court-imposed restraining order at his residence Monday.
				During the incident, Allen allegedly made reference to George Floyd, who died after a Minneapolis police officer placed a knee against his throat, and provoked officers to kill him in order for his son to receive $1 million.
				According to the criminal complaint:
				Police went to 126 Gilligan St. to serve Allen with a PFA that ordered him to leave. The restraining order was filed by a woman and a child.
				Allen sat on a bed and made a single finger hand gesture to officers. When Allen refused to come to the door, he told officers, &ldquo;George mother(expletive) Floyd, what you gonna do put your foot on my neck?&rsquo; the complaint says.
				Officers told Allen they were not there to arrest him but he needed to be served with the PFA and vacant the residence.
				Allen replied, &ldquo;you ain&rsquo;t serving me with (expletive),&rdquo; the complaint says.
				Officers gave Allen a copy of the restraining order and advised him he needed to leave.
				In response, Allen said, &ldquo;(Expletive) you, I ain&rsquo;t leaving. I&rsquo;ll punchy you and your partner in the mouth,&rdquo; and, &ldquo;You gonna have to kill me so my son could get a million dollars cause Black lives matter,&rdquo; the complaint says.
				Officers gave Allen another chance to gather his belongings and leave the residence.
				When Allen replied, &ldquo;No, the (expletive) I&rsquo;m not,&rdquo; officers attempted to handcuff Allen but he initiated a struggle.
				Police said Allen was not injured during the struggle.
				Allen continued to yell that he was going to return to the residence because he is from Baltimore and had no place to go.
