PLYMOUTH &mdash; Borough police arrested Pedro Juan Santos, 51, on charges he strangled a woman and took $20 from her purse during a domestic disturbance inside a residence on West Shawnee Avenue on Monday.
				According to the criminal complaint:
				A woman told police she was out with a neighbor for several hours and when she returned home, her boyfriend, Santos, began screaming at her.
				The woman went to a bedroom to get away from Santos.
				Santos followed the woman and told her &ldquo;You&rsquo;re not going to get anything from me again,&rdquo; and went into her purse taking $20, the complaint says.
				When the woman attempted to take back the money, she claimed Santos grabbed her by the throat and squeezed until she was not able to breath, according to the complaint.
				Santos released his grip and left the bedroom.
				The woman followed Santos who pushed her to the floor causing an injury to her right leg and right elbow, the complaint says.
				Police arrested Santos when he was found in the rear yard consuming a beer.
				Santos claimed the woman pushed him.
				Police said the neighbor, who resides in the same apartment building, heard Santos and the woman arguing.
				Santos was arraigned Tuesday night by District Judge Ferris Webby of Wright Township on charges of robbery, strangulation, simple assault, harassment and two counts of theft. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail.
