NEWTON TWP. -- State police arrested an 18-year-old Clarks Summit man on
charges stemming from the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl last week. <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
   After being arraigned, Jared Singleman, 18, was lodged in the Lackawanna
County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail. He was charged with rape, aggravated
assault, indecent assault, unlawful restraint, corruption of minors and simple
assault. <br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The victim reported on Oct. 2 that she was sexually assaulted by Singleman
while she visited a school friend, police said.
