 Nov. 18, 1992 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Vito A. Merlo, 90, of Moosic Road, Old Forge, died Wednesday morning at the &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Taylor Nursing Center, where he had been a guest for four yearsBorn in Old
Forge, he was the son of the late Ralph and Marcellina Passarella Merlo. He
was a life long resident of Old Forge. He attended Old Forge schools. He was
employed by Jaunti Fabric Corp., Scranton, retiring in 1964. He was a member
of St. Mary's Church, Old Forge. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph, Matthew and Anthony; sisters,
Ann and Rose; grandson, Paul Maglio. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his wife, the former Mildred Gatto; son, Thomas, Boca Raton,
Fla.; daughter, Marjorie Maglio, Baltimore, Md.; six grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; sisters, Terry Trusi, Bloomfield, N.J.; Mary Odessa,
Staten Island, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Palermo and Zawacki
Funeral Home Inc., 409 N. Main St., Old Forge, with a Mass of Christian Burial
at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Old Forge Cemetery. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The rosary will be recited 3 p.m. Friday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the charity of the donor's
choice.
