WILLIAMSPORT -- Pam Tillis is on a roll. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Her current single, "Mi Vida Loca," is No. 2 on the country record charts.
Her album, "Sweetheart's Dance," has already gone gold. And most importantly,
Tillis won the prestigious Country Music Association's award as "Best Female
Artist" of 1994. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; So it's no wonder that an estimated 1,800 fans turned out for Tillis'
concert Sunday night at the Williamsport Commmunity Arts Center despite snowy
weather. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 They weren't disappointed. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tillis delivered a dazzling, energetic show that included two standing
ovations. She took charge from the outset, opening with "Overnight Sensation"
and then delivered hit after hit at a feverish pace for the next 90 minutes. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Throughout the show, Tillis maintained an excellent rapport with the
audience -- she seemed heartfelt and genuine. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Thank you so much for braving the weather," Tillis said. "We'll try to
heat things up in here." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tillis was in top form with "When You Walk Into The Room," a single off
~"Sweetheart's Dance" which was her most recent No. 1 hit. She followed with
"Let That Pony Run" and ~"I Was Blown Away," which is going to be her next
single. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Wish us luck with this one," Tillis said. "We couldn't have hit records
without you." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tillis performed an array of her hits, including "Do You Know Where Your
Man Is," "Blue Rose Is," "Shake A Sugar Tree," "Spilled Perfume" and "Maybe It
Was Memphis." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The most riveting part of the show was an extended version off "Homeward
Looking Angel," the title cut of her 1993 platinum album. Tillis performed the
song sitting on a stool, with the lights turned down low. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She put so much emotion into the lyrics that it was obvious it has a
special meaning to Tillis. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tillis showed she has a great sense of humor with a great novetly song,
"What Would Elvis Do," which of course was a tribute to Elvis Presley. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "I don't know of any country singer who wasn't influenced by Elvis," Tillis
said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tillis also introduced fans to new music. She performed "Tequila
Mockingbird," a sensational ballad which she is considering putting on her
next album. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tillis seemed overwhelmed by her current success, especially being named
country's top female artist. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "I wasn't really expecting it," she said. "I was so surprised that I didn't
have an acceptance speech written. But I'm savoring the award. Afterall, I
only get to keep it for a year. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "It looks like we have a full house here tonight," Tillis added. "We've
come a long way since the days of playing the Chattanooga Holiday Inn." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tillis, who plays a mean guitar, won her first standing ovation with an
outrageous performance of "Queen of Denial," during which she strutted
back-and-forth across the stage like she owned the place. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Pam got another standing ovation for her encore song, "Til All The Lonely's
Gone," a rollicking tribute to Hank Williams which had everyone stomping their
feet. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 It was vintage Pam Tillis. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
