Ralph Pendlebury &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 July 28, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ralph Pendlebury, 67, of West Kirmar Avenue, Alden, Newport Township, and
former resident of Nanticoke, Hazleton and Stroudsburg, died Sunday at the &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains TownshipBorn April 20, 1929
in Plymouth Township, he was the son of the late Harry and Sarah Ellen West
Pendlebury. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He attended Nanticoke public schools, and graduated from Nanticoke Area
High School and the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth,
Kansas, and previously lived in Hazleton and Stroudsburg. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was discharged from
the U.S. Army in 1989 with the rank of lieutenant colonel, and was awarded the
Purple Heart and Meritorious Service medals. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Before retiring from Kaysem Industries, Patterson, N.J., where he retired
as vice president, he was employed by the former Alta Products Corp.,
Nanticoke; Foldes Shoe Corp., Hazleton; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of Askam United Methodist Church; Lodge 61 F. &amp; A.M.,
Wilkes-Barre; Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg; Irem Temple A.A.O.N.M.S.,
Wilkes-Barre; associate member of the First Battalion 109th Field Artillery;
life member of the Reserve Officers Association of the U.S. Army. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are his wife of 46 years, the former Margaret Kiley, formerly of
Nanticoke; a daughter, Cheryl Lynn Fritz, Bethlehem; sons, Ralph Scott,
Chesapeake, Va.; Sean Michael, Frederick, Md.; sisters, Margaret Novak,
Gertrude Salvagno and Dolores Nearhouse, all of Nanticoke; several nieces and
nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the William E. Davis
Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke, with the Rev. Barbara Saxe, pastor
of Askam United Methodist Church, officiating. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in Nanticoke cemetery, with military services by members
of the First Battalion of the 109th Field Artillery. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with officers of Lodge 61
F. &amp; A.M., Wilkes-Barre, conducting Masonic Services at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in
the funeral home. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Memorial donations may be made to the Shriner's Childrens Hospital, 52 N.
Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, or Askam United Methodist Church, c/o Mrs.
