Ellen Reed &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Aug. 7, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ellen T. Reed of North View Road, Hughestown, died Wednesday in the Hospice &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Care of the Visiting Nurse Association, Heritage House, Wilkes-BarreBorn in
Pittston, she was the daughter of the late George and Leona Loppert Neary. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She graduated from St. John the Evangelist High School, Pittston, and
attended Bucknell College. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston, and its Altar
and Rosary Society, and the Fox Hill Country Club, Exeter, and its Ladies Golf
League. She was active with the Pittston Hospital Auxiliary. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her sister, Mrs. Mary Cosgrove. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are her husband, William J.; a son, Attorney Richard G. Reed,
Laflin; two grandsons; nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Adonizio Funeral Home
Inc., 251 William St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.
in St. John the Evangelist Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Pittston. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
