 Aug. 9, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Josephine Sholtis Ligi, 74, of Thomas Street, Exeter, died Friday in the &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hospice Care of the Visiting Nurse Association, Heritage House,
Wilkes-BarreBorn in Exeter, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Susan
Artim Sholtis. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She graduated from Exeter High School in 1940, and was a member of St.
Anthony's Church, Exeter, and secretary of the Greek Catholic Union for many
years. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Before retiring, she was employed by the Consolidated Cigar Co., West
Pittston, and the Duchess Clothing Outlet, Pittston. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She and her husband, David, celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on
June 26. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by brothers, Michael, John and Andrew Sholtis;
sisters, Mary Kozick, Anna Yanchick, Margaret Chorba and Agnes Maslowski. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters, Susan, Exeter; Nancy
Tonkin, Dupont; a sister, Helen Fedorchak, Wyoming; five grandchildren; one
great-grandchild. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Frank A. Gubbiotti
Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter, with a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in
St. Anthony's Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in St. John's Slovak Cemetery, Exeter. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
