Michael Drozdowski &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Aug. 11, 1996 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Michael W. Drozdowski of Holly Street, Peeley section of Hanover Township, &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 died Sunday at home following an illnessBorn in Nanticoke on Sept. 24,
1926, he was the son of the late Michael and Julia Lawendowski Drozdowski of
Nanticoke. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He attended Nanticoke schools. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps in the
Asiatic/Pacific Theatre from 1944-47. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He has resided in the Peeley section of Hanover Township the past 46 years. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was last employed at the power plant near Berwick in general
construction. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of local Carpenters Union Hall 514, Plains Township; Holy
Family Church, Sugar Notch, and a former member of the senior choir of the
parish. He was also a member of American Legion Post 176, Warrior Run. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He and his wife, the former Theresa Czyzyk, celebrated their 46th wedding
anniversary on Feb. 11. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley, on Dec. 26, 1951, during
the Korean War. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a son, Michael J., Wilkes-Barre; daughters, Mrs. Gary
(Janice) Kreidler, Warrior Run; Mrs. Robert (Julia) Wincek, Ashley; Denise
Singer, Nanticoke; sister, Mrs. Leonard (Marion) Kelly, Coopersburg; brothers,
Paul, Hanover section of Nanticoke; Joseph, Newport News, Va.; nine
grandchildren; one great-great-grandson. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 A military funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the George A.
Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley, with a Mass of Christian
Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The members of the American Legion Post 176 will meet tonight at the
funeral home to conduct services. A wake service also will be held tonight. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Holy
Family Church Building Fund, 828 Main St., Sugar Notch. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
