Private liquor stores will result in more underage drinking &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 I am not a single-issue voter, a union member, a teetotaler or a very vocal
constituent. I consider myself a member of the silent majority. But I am
vehemently opposed to the privatization of the state liquor stores, especially
for the funding of sports facilitiesThe commonwealth should not use proceeds
from the sale of any business to fund the construction of sports facilities,
regardless of their location. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The cities where the facility is to be constructed should issue bonds; the
team owners should forgo some of their profits; and the state should provide
some grant money when appropriate for the construction of a stadium. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The privatization of the state store system will evolve like any other
capital enterprise -- sales generate revenue and profits. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Regardless of the amount of enforcement by authorities, private liquor
store owners have no incentive to deny sales to minors. In addition, current
enforcement levels will have to be increased, resulting in the appropriation
of more tax dollars to fight underage drinking. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 We have the best enforcement system around with the current system. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The state store system is self-sustaining and generates profits used to
help residents of this district and commonwealth. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The system is affordable and works fine. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Our state legislators have the power and authority to crush this poorly
thought-out plan. They have a responsibility to all Pennsylvanians, especially
the young, to protect their well-being and not the interests of big business. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Although I voted for the governor, I believe he is wrong on this issue, and
his proposal must be stopped. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
