Ethel Baer &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 February 1, 1997 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Ethel M. Baer, 90, formerly of Shickshinny, died Saturday at the Berwick &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hospital. She was a resident at the Berwick Retirement Village since
1993Born March 10, 1906, in Shickshinny, she was the daughter of the late
Charles and Clara Oplinger Yochem. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was employed by the former Racusins Store, Shickshinny, for 42 years. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Shickshinny. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, John Baer in 1984; brothers,
Charles, Robert, and Kenneth; and sisters, Erma Lutz and Dorothy Breese. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are sisters, Kathryn Newman, Kingston; Lois Collins, Nebraska;
and several nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Sorber
Cemetery, Rayburn. The Rev. Dean A. Walrath, her pastor, will officiate. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United
Methodist Church of Shickshinny. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral arrangements by the Mayo Funeral Home, 77 N. Main St., Shickshinny. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
