 January 15, 1998 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Irene E. Rice, 76, formerly of Sugar Hollow, Tunkhannock, died Thursday at
the &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Allied Skilled Nursing Center on the Morgan Highway in ScrantonBorn Dec. 4,
1921, in Eaton Township, Wyoming County, she was daughter of the late Jesse
and Cora Jones Harding. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a 1939 graduate of Tunkhannock High School and worked at Fassett's
Department Store in Tunkhannock for several years. She retired from the
Endicott Johnson Shoe Factory in Tunkhannock. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of the Eatonville Baptist Church. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Hank" Rice, in 1997; and
a sister, Rachel Goodwin. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a son, William H., Tunkhannock; David A., Falls; daughters
Carolyn Malesky, Evans Falls; Paula Williams, Tunkhannock; two granddaughters;
one stepgrandson; and several nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday from the Sheldo
