`Games are over,' homicide suspect told victim &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Co-workers testify that &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Harry Butry Jr., on trial in the shooting death of his estranged
girlfriend, made ominous comments about her and their two children prior to
the shooting. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

 WILKES-BARRE- It begins with a simple greeting. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Hi, this is Harry," comes the lighthearted, pleasant sounding voice. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Then come the screams Harry Butry Jr. tape recorded in his final argument
with his estranged girlfriend, Tina Marie Marcario, before she is shot to
death. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The recording was played for jurors Friday in Butry's trial on charges he
killed the 21-year-old Marcario, the mother of his two children. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Prosecutors say the ex-lovers were in the parking lot of the Wyoming Valley
Manor Personal Care home on North Sherman Street when the scene unfolded Aug.
21. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Shut it off," Marcario says, her voice barely audible. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Come on," an agitated Butry replies. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "I'm not playing games," Marcario screams. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Games are over, I said," Butry replies in a calm, sing-song tone. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Don't ... ," the woman objects. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 With that, prosecutors say Butry pumped five bullets into Marcario: &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Her left arm. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Her right lung. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Her liver. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Her left buttock. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Her heart. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The shooting was not caught on tape. The prosecution maintains that Butry
turned off the recorder before the shots were fired, then flicked it back on
to record his thoughts. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "I can't believe I just shot her. I think I killed her," he begins,
breaking down. "I don't know why I feel so bad; I just wanted her to talk to
me." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Butry buried his head in his hands as jurors listened to the approximately
10-minute tape over headphones that left the courtroom in silence. Judge Hugh
Mundy later allowed members of the press to hear the recording in a separate
office. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Butry left the tape inside his car, but police failed to notice it during a
search. The micro-cassette was found by Butry's brother-in-law, David Koons,
after police had returned the car to the family, said Luzerne County District
Attorney Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Tammy Koons, Butry's sister, said her husband found the tape tucked between
the car seats. Asked how the tape was missed, Olszewski provided no
explanation other than to say police were not looking for a tape. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The recording contains a monologue by Butry as he drove his car following
the shooting. Dozens of breaks in the tape can be detected as he repeatedly
turns the recorder off and on. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 His voice is at times calm, at times choked with emotion as he continually
apologizes to his family and Donato and Julie, the two children he had with
Marcario. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "All I wanted was for her to ... take me back. That's all I wanted," he
says, crying. "Tell Tina's parents I'm sorry but I couldn't live without her.
I didn't know what else to do. ... I couldn't just let her go." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Friday night, Marcario's mother, Marie Weidemann, said Butry would often
tape record himself and send the tapes to family members. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "He's done this before but I never heard any of them," Weidemann said. "He
would record his thoughts and send them to his aunts." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Butry's voice remains calm throughout most of the tape. The recording
reveals a wide range of emotions. At one moment Butry is pleading for
Marcario's life. The next, he's cursing her. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Please God, please give her life," he says, his voice cracking. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Then, suddenly his tone turns sinister. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "Tina you ... a-----e. Oh, I hate you so much. I hate you. I hate you with
a passion." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Butry's attorneys, William Ruzzo and John Sobota, maintain he did not
intend to kill Marcario and the shooting was committed "in the heat of
passion." &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 But Olszewski is painting a different picture- that of an obsessed man who
carefully planned to murder the woman who no longer wanted him. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The 31-year-old defendant faces an open charge of homicide and convictions
on either first- or third-degree murder, voluntary or involuntary
manslaughter. Butry has been held in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility
since his arrest last year. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Several of Butry's co-workers from American Silk Mill in Plains Township
were called to testify Friday. Each told of comments he made that hinted
toward the tragedy to come. All said they did not warn Marcario or police
because they did not think he was serious. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 "He stated he wanted to kill Tina, the two children and himself, kill them
all and take them with him," testified co-worker Tina George. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 George said she attended a concert with Butry
