Anna M. Sapp &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 January 16, 1998 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Anna M. Sapp of West Chestnut Street, North End section of Wilkes-Barre,
died &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 FridayBorn in Wilkes-Barre, she was daughter of the late Joseph and Anna
Matrinda Evan. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, North Main
Street, Wilkes-Barre, and its Altar and Rosary Society. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was a member of the first graduating class of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Slovak School's present-day building on North Main Street. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was the owner and operator of a confectionery store on West Chestnut
Street for more than 20 years. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Before she retired, she was employed in the local garment industry for more
than 20 years. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers
Union. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Sapp; brothers Frank Ivan
and Joseph G. Evans; and a sister, Mary A. Tarantini. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a daughter, Theresa Sapp, at home; and several nieces and
nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from the John V. Morris
Funeral Home, 625 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m.
in Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church. The Rev. Gerard F. Safko,
parochial vicar, will officiate. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
