Leo Kovaleski &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 January 16, 1998 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Leo J. Kovaleski, 76, of Vine Street, Plymouth, died Friday as the result
of an automobile accident on U.S. Route 11Born Sept. 3, 1921, in Plymouth, he
was son of the late Walter Edward and Frances Gavrish Kovaleski. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a lifelong resident of Plymouth and attended Plymouth schools. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of St. Casimir's Church in the Lyndwood section of Hanover
Township. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Before he retired, he was employed by the Blue Ribbon Bakery in Kingston
for many years. He was previously employed by the Glen Alden Coal Co. as a
miner. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served with the 509th
Battery Anti-Aircraft Gun Battalion at Pearl Harbor. He was the recipient of
the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Medal from Congress. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of the American Legion Post 495, Shickshinny, and the
Veterans of Foreign Wars Shawnee Post 1425, Plymouth. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was a member of the Senior Citizens Club, Edwardsville. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Helen Kaster, in 1996;
brothers and sister. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Surviving are a son, Ronald A., Nanticoke; two granddaughters, Kim and
Jennifer; and several nieces and nephews. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
