HANOVER TWP - The township is suing Wilkes-Barre Township over unpaid sewer
fees for 2000. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The solicitor for Hanover Township filed a writ of summons Friday in
Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas to notify Wilkes-Barre Township of the
suit. The writ contains no details of the allegations. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Township Commissioner Frank Ciavarella said the suit is to recover a
$35,000 sewer tap-in fee which Wilkes-Barre Township failed to pay in 2000. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wilkes-Barre Township, Ashley, Sugar Notch and Warrior Run all pay to use
Hanover Township's sewer line, he said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Ciavarella said that according to Hanover Township's budget, Wilkes-Barre
Township and Ashley have failed to pay their fees. Ashley owes $18,850, he
added. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 ``I'm just so curious to know why they filed one lawsuit and not two,''
Ciavarella said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hanover Township Solicitor William Amesbury verified that the summons was
filed over the sewer tap-in fee, but would not comment on why no similar
summons was filed against Ashley. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
