<p>Sunshine is expected to stick around today, but rain is expected in the Wyoming Valley as the weekend approaches.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 43 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.</p><p>Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 75. Mostly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 53.</p><p>Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Thursday, along with a 40 percent chance of showers after 9 a.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and the high will be near 69.</p><p>Showers will be likely on Thursday night, with up to another quarter of an inch of rain possible.
