Ex-WB officer accused of rape to receive $33K pension

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; City police and troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Wyoming barracks launched joint saturation patrols last weekend in the wake of a series of shootings that have plagued the city.</p><p>According to a press release by the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department, the operation resulted in arrests in several cases:</p><p>&#8226; Throughout the weekend, officers initiated 95 contacts that resulted in: 10 misdemeanor arrests, three felony arrests, 16 warrant arrests, six drug arrests and two drug trafficking search warrants.</p><p>&#8226; City officers also issued 10 citations.</p><p>&#8226; During the saturation patrols, officers were able to take in Ashvan Terell Davis, 22, and Ravone Davis, 31, who authorities believe are responsible for a rash of robberies in the city&#8217;s North and East End&#8217;s of the city during January.</p><p>&#8220;This initiative between the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police is the result of an ongoing cooperative effort to reduce violent crime in the city of Wilkes-Barre,&#8221; the release said. &#8220;It is an example of the federal, state and local partnerships that have been formed to maximize resources in this effort.&#8221;</p><style>
