WB saturation patrols lead to arrests

<p>Wow to all of what the Oscars brought us on Sunday evening!</p><p>Lots of stars brought statement looks down the red carpet that seemed to have come straight off the runways. There were a lot of new, different looks in store for us this year.</p><p>Here are some of the big trends we saw this year at the awards. Some looks you may have loved and others may have you scratching your head.</p><p>Either way - here they are:</p><p><strong>Think pink!</strong></p><p>There sure was a lot of this shade to be seen this year. From light pink hues to ultra bright.</p><p><strong>Angela Basset</strong> in my opinion looked absolutely amazing in her bright pink Reem Acra gown. I loved the silhouette, shoulder, leg slit and drama that this look brought.</p><p>Not only was the color pink in but so were ruffles and even the combination of the two was a chosen trend.</p><p><strong>Kacey Musgraves</strong> had a princess inspired look by Giambattista Valli with lots of Tulle which was not a complete fan favorite. While the look surely fit her personality which is half the win, her dress some said the layers and all the ruffles reminded them of their shower loofas.</p><p><strong>Gemma Chan</strong> was another one in a bright pink dress who made the best dressed list. While I absolutely love the color and also the ruffled neckline I would of loved to see this dress in a different fabric.</p><p><strong>Futuristic</strong></p><p>Dresses with metallics, sequins and this sense of futuristic glam and silhouettes were seen heavily beside the array of pink this year.</p><p><strong>Jennifer Lopez</strong> in my opinion was one of the best dressed and she looks stunning in this futuristic trend. She wore a Tom Ford mirror-mosaic long sleeve gown which fit her like a glove and hugged her curves in all the right ways.</p><p><strong>Emilia Clarke</strong> also shined in her warrior metallic dress by Balmain. She sparkled in the pretty in purple dress which had such an ornate design to it up top.</p><p><strong>Velvets</strong></p><p>Velvet was the new trend for men on the red carpet. Which felt really refreshing and exciting.</p><p><strong>Jason Momoa</strong> matched his wife in a velvet Fendi pale pink velvet suit. <strong>Stephan James</strong> rocked a red custom Etro suit. And I am sure none of us can forget the epic moment by <strong>Billy Porter</strong> who wore a Christian Siriano velvet tuxedo gown. I know all the men aren&#8217;t running to incorporate that into their wardrobes, but we can all agree it was a moment made in history.</p><p><strong>Capes and capelets</strong></p><p>Many opted for sweeping capes for the Oscars. <strong>Glenn Close</strong> wore a gold version by designer Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera. I love the idea of Glenn in a gorgeous cape dress but felt this silhouette ended up drowning her and not doing much justice.</p><p><strong>Melissa McCarthy</strong> even did a pantsuit version of the cape by Brandon Maxwell.</p><p><strong>Classic glamour</strong></p><p><strong>Lady Gaga</strong> has had a lot of buzz about the fact that she&#8217;s been dressing like old Hollywood glamour through award season, and she did it again with her black Alexander McQueen dress with matching elbow gloves AND even got to wear a necklace that the last time it left Tiffany&#8217;s vaults was worn by Audrey Hepburn herself.</p><p><strong>Regina King&#8217;s</strong> look was a YES YES YES. Classic and a perfect example of less is more. Her white Oscar de la Renta gown had a stunning train and I loved the slit at the leg. Simply gorgeous!</p><p>Who&#8217;s look did you love and who&#8217;s did you wish would of been different?</p><style>

Styling: Oscars offered smorgasbord of fashion delights
