City celebrates Founders Day: Wilkes-Barre throws 250th birthday party

<p>Anthony Angello scored the winning goal and Alex D&#8217;Orio made 33 saves Saturday as the Pittsburgh Penguins prospects came back to beat the prospects of the New Jersey Devils, 2-1 at the 2019 Prospects Challenge in Buffalo, N.Y.</p><p>Angello&#8217;s score was the second power play goal for the Penguins, who trailed 1-0 after 15 minutes and didn&#8217;t have a shot on goal until the late in the opening stanza.</p><p>Angello took a pass from Sam Lafferty, cut to the crease and stuffed his game-winner past Devils goalie Akira Schmid.</p><p>D&#8217;Orio&#8217;s sparkling play allowed the Penguins to stave off six power plays, including an extended stint where they were shorthanded, 5-on-3.</p><p>The Devils scored on their first power play opportunity 3:48 into the game, then D&#8217;Orio made sure they didn&#8217;t score again.</p><p>Jan Drozg, just promoted from the fourth line to the third, tied the game with a goal for the Penguins after Chase Berger won a clean faceoff near the end of the first period.</p><p>Many of the players for the Penguins are expected to suit up for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season.</p><p>The Penguins will play their final game of the Prospects Challenge against Buffalo on Monday.</p><style>
