`Pippin' opens in Exeter Friday &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The musical comedy ``Pippin'' will open the 1996-97 season of Showcase
Theatre in Exeter Friday, with repeat performances Sept. 7, 13, 14 and 15All
performances of "Pippin" begin at 8 p.m., except for the Sunday matinee Sept.
15, which starts at 2 p.m. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The musical was written by Roger O. Hirson with music and lyrics by Stephen
Schwartz. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Rob Robinson of Edwardsville will direct this Showcase Theatre production.
The musical director will be Nancy Evans of Swoyersville. Jeanne Burger of
Drums is choreographer and Deb Petrillo of Hunlock Creek, costume designer. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Jason Sherry of Wilkes-Barre appears as Pippin and Jennifer Rogers, also of
Wilkes-Barre, as Catherine. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Others in the cast include Kevin Costley, Exeter; Steve Stylinski,
Trucksville; Debbie Switzer and Lori Mundy, West Pittston; Dave Kasmark,
Dallas; Krystal Vincent of Nanticoke and Chuck Unice, Shavertown. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The cast also includes Rob Robinson, Deb Petrillo and Jeanne Burger; Craig
Thomas, Shavertown; Rich Zbysheski, Swoyersville; Tim Gallen, Scranton; Leigh
Ann Schoner, Dallas; Patricia Moran, Laflin; Dale Zalutko, Wilkes-Barre; and
Melissa Calucci, Hazleton. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Reservations can be made by calling the theater at 654-2555. Tickets also
will be sold at the door of the theater on Tunkhannock Avenue, Exeter, next to
Fox Hill Country Club. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
