HANOVER TWP. -- Sugar Notch tax collector Teresa Kinney has submitted her
resignation to the Hanover Area School Board. Board members said they plan to
conduct an audit of Kinney before she steps down at the end of the year. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 In other business at Thursday's work session, the board ruled on several
field trips. The marching band has been invited to the New Jersey All-State
Conference in Cherry Hill. The district plans to provide two buses and
chaperones for the February trip, as well as pay for two substitute teachers. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; But Superintendent John Kmetz said the district will not assume costs for
two other trips: The ski club will go to Vermont in February for its annual
trip. And the Hanover Memorial Parent-Teacher Association has scheduled its
annual trip for the sixth grade in May. This year, students will travel to
Baltimore. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Finally, the board agreed on two changes at the Junior-Senior High School:
the installation of utility poles for an athletic project, and the removal of
a metallic mesh curtain from the gym that baseball players practice batting
against during the winter season. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The board will hold its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the choral
room at the high school. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
