Late in season, playoff picture remains unsettled &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 There are less than two weeks left in the girls basketball season, yet
nearly half of the District 2 playoff berths are still openFifteen teams from
the Wyoming Valley Conference, Lackawanna League, Northeast Athletic
Conference and District 4 have clinched berths, leaving 13 spots remaining. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Here's the story so far. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Class AAAA &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Who goes: Eight teams -- three WVC, two Lackawanna League, the top District
4 team and two wild cards. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Wyoming Valley West (12-2) and Hazleton Area (8-7) have clinched WVC
berths. Coughlin (0-14) is eliminated, leaving Tunkhannock (3-11) and Pittston
Area (2-13) battling for the third WVC seed. Tunkhannock is in if it defeats
either Nanticoke on Thursday or Valley West on Monday, or if Pittston Area
loses to Coughlin on Thursday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Pittston Area needs to defeat Coughlin and have Tunkhannock lose its two
games to force a tie for the spot. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Honesdale (11-0) has secured a Lackawanna League berth. West Scranton (9-2)
and Scranton (7-4) are alive for the other spot, although West Scranton has
clinched at least a wild card berth. Abington Heights (5-6) can make the
playoffs as a wild card only if West Scranton earns the second Lackawanna
League berth. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 As for the wild card spots, the NAC's Delaware Valley (11-4) has earned one
of them. Abington can get the other only if it wins its last three games and
Scranton loses its last three. If that doesn't happen, Scranton or West
Scranton -- whichever doesn't earn the Lackawanna League's second berth --
will be a wild card. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Jersey Shore (13-6) will be the District 4 representative, easily
outdistancing Williamsport (4-13) and Shikellamy (3-17). &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Class AAA &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Who goes: Six teams -- three WVC, two Lackawanna League, one wild card. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Scranton Prep (11-0) and Valley View (10-1) have earned the Lackawanna
League spots. Wallenpaupack (4-7) and North Pocono (0-11) are eliminated from
all playoff scenarios. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Berwick has clinched the WVC Division I spot over Nanticoke (10-4) and
Crestwood (6-8). Nanticoke is also in as the WVC's third seed since it can't
finish with a record worse than the second-place Division II team. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dallas (8-6) will get the Division II berth if it wins the overall title. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Provided Dallas doesn't win the title, Lake-Lehman (9-5) can clinch the WVC
Division II berth with a victory Thursday against Wyoming Area (8-6) or Monday
against Dallas (8-6). If Wyoming Area and Dallas sweep their final two games
and Dallas doesn't win the title, it will tie for the spot and Lehman is out.
Hanover Area (6-8) has been eliminated. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The NAC's Western Wayne (12-4) is the wild card. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Class AA &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Who goes: Eight teams -- two WVC teams, two Lackawanna League teams, two
NAC teams, two wild cards. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Dunmore (7-4) has beaten Bishop Hannan (2-9) for the Lackawanna Southern
spot. Riverside (7-4) would get the Northern berth with a victory in any of
its last three games. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 If Riverside loses its last three games and Carbondale (4-7) wins its last
three games, Riverside and Carbondale would have a playoff. Lakeland (4-7) and
Mid Valley (4-7) could get into playoffs if they win their last three games,
Riverside loses its last three games and Carbondale loses one of its last two
games. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Elk Lake (14-2) has secured on NAC spot. Mountain View (8-6) and Montrose
(7-7) are alive for the other, while Blue Ridge (4-12) and Lackawanna Trail
(3-13) are eliminated from all playoff possibilities. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 The WVC race is the most confusing of all. GAR (12-2) has clinched at least
a wild card berth. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 If Bishop Hoban (10-4) wins the Division I title, GAR wins the Division II
title and Bishop O'Reilly (9-5) wins the Division III title, all three teams
advance. Any divisional champion automatically qualifies for the playoffs. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 If GAR wins the title and Hoban doesn't, GAR is in. Hoban then would get in
if its record is better than or equal to Meyers (9-5) and Bishop O'Reilly
(9-5), provided O'Reilly doesn't win the Division III title. If not, there
will be playoffs. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 If Hoban wins the title and GAR doesn't, both teams will be in the
playoffs. O'Reilly also will get in if it wins the Division III title. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 If Hoban, GAR and O'Reilly all fail to win their divisions, GAR is still
in. Hoban gets in if its record is better than or equal to GAR and O'Reilly.
If not, then there will be playoffs. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Class A &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Who goes: Six teams -- two WVC teams, one Lackawanna League team, one NAC
team, two wild cards. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Seton Catholic (13-1) has clinched a WVC berth. Northwest (4-10) and
Wyoming Seminary (4-10) are alive for the other spot. Bishop Hafey (2-12) has
been eliminated from the WVC race. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Northwest can clinch at least a wild card berth with a victory over winless
West Side Tech on Thursday. Seminary can lose both its remaining games and
make the playoffs as a wild card if Hafey loses one of its last two games. In
that scenario, Northwest would get the WVC second spot. Northwest plays at
Seminary on Monday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Bishop O'Hara (3-8) will get the Lackawanna League spot with another
victory or an Old Forge (0-11) loss. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Forest City (13-3) has clinched the NAC berth. Sacred Heart (0-14) is out,
while Susquehanna (4-12) is alive for a wild card berth. Susquehanna can earn
a wild card berth with a victory or a Hafey loss. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Hafey is barely alive for a wild card spot. It needs to defeat O'Reilly on
Thursday and Seton on Monday, and have Susquehanna lose to Western Wayne on
Thursday and Sacred Heart on Monday. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
